In defense of the investing bf he just may not want to lol especially being new it’s risky, he does have a lot less money to work with, and his gf would basically be his advisor. Which is great to an extent and it sounds like she has a decent portfolio but idk that I’d be jumping to do that either. It’s great that it’s working for her but I feel like that should be convincing enough in time if he’s truly interested.

As a girl that makes more money and does the finances for the house, I 10000% agree with Mike. My partner didn’t prioritize anything financial budgeting so I would sit down and do “group planning for the both of us” and put it in terms that were applicable to us and it was so fun. Talking about money makes some people stressed so I do the leg work to be like here’s the solution! Instead of here’s the problem let’s fix it so it’s a calm easy discussion from the get go

As someone who’s mother did pass from a brutal battle with cancer while In a new relationship: it is INCREDIBLY difficult to go through something so deeply personal & life changing with someone “new” in your life. I too stopped answering my partner at the time because my focus was on my mom & our (what I didn’t know at the time) last moments. I slept at the hospital 7 days in a row. That being said- cheating is terribly wrong & using your mothers illness as an excuse to do so is sickening.

It seems like know days being in a relationship is not so easy & a lot of people don’t have faith in their man & are worried that he is going to cheat that also goes for women also I’m glad that I don’t have to go though all of that for right know or at the moment

For the finance one there should be some help, coming from a household that no one was there to teach me anything it was so difficult to figure it out and even wanting to figure it out. Financial literacy is very difficult and sometimes you have to hold someone’s hand. If you cant do that for someone you “love” then maybe that isn’t the person for you. I think this would be different if the person is “lazy” about planning things like dates. Also if she has an issue with making more than their partner and that’s important to you than find someone who makes more.

People can most certainly hide addictions to things like opiates or heroine much easier than a meth addiction. Of course it depends on the person and the level of abuse, but the signs of meth intoxication are more in your face than heroine or opiates.
